Historical Reconstruction
Historical reconstruction is a cultural activity based on the recreation of past lives, events and objects of a particular moment in time.
NEMESIS ARQUEOLOGIA I DIFUSIÓ CULTURAL has been part of the Jornadas Internacionales de Reconstrucción Histórica TARRACO VIVA (Tarragona) from its very first edition in 1999. Tarraco Viva is a festival exploring Roman history, and is currently rated as one of the most important in the world in both visitors numbers and the quality of its acts.
NEMESIS ARQUEOLOGIA I DIFUSIÓ CULTURAL has combined its knowledge of history and archaeology to create activities and performances both rich in historical detail, centred on the daily life and religious practice of the Roman world. Both during the TARRACO VIVA festival, as in the history festival held during the summer months called TARRAGONA HISTORIA VIVA, we have organized family activities themed on the daily life and the religious practices of the Roman world,
Historical reenactments have become a great medium to bring together tourism, culture and fun. Seeing the old city of Tarragona in the company of Roman characters like the gladiators fights in the amphitheater, has become an attractive proposal for both tourists, business clients and incentive trips.
